Gilbarco Veeder-Root has announced the certification of its Passport
point of sale software on the ADS-Dallas (Alliance Data Systems)
generic payment card network.
"Our goal is to make Passport fully accessible to convenience store
retailers," says Chris Whitley, director of POS marketing for Gilbarco
Veeder-Root. "Certification on the ADS-Dallas network is an integral
step towards reaching that goal."
Passport is also certified on the ADS-Chicago platform, as well as
Conoco and Tosco networks. CITGO and ExxonMobil payment network
interfaces are currently being developed.
Passport, a powerful system for managing merchandise,
captures and reports on transaction level data. Its intuitive design
helps speed transactions and train employees faster, minimizing the
effects of employee turnover. A dynamic real-time database,
NACS-standard XML data exchange, and QSR functionality with kitchen
monitor interface make Passport the ideal POS in today's complex
convenience store environment. Passport's add-on feature modules
accommodate retailers' businesses as they grow and change.
