Gilbarco and Veeder-Root announce management team

Company leadership brings significant industry experience

Greensboro, NC and Simsbury, CT - April 23, 2002 - Gilbarco Inc. and The Veeder-Root Company have announced their top-level management team. Scott Clawson is President of the two companies, which together represent the leading brands of solutions and technologies that provide convenience, control, and environmental integrity for retail fueling and adjacent markets. Brands include Gilbarco® fuel dispensing equipment, fully integrated point of sale systems and back office accounting systems; Veeder-Root® automatic tank gauging and fuel management systems; and, Red Jacket® submersible pumps and pressurized line leak detectors.

The management team includes David Kaehler, President, Gilbarco Americas and Rick Zimmerman, President Gilbarco International. Both Kaehler and Zimmerman had similar responsibilities at Gilbarco.

Martin Gafinowitz was named Vice-President and General Manager for The Veeder-Root Company. He will have leadership responsibility for the Veeder-Root and Red Jacket brands. Gafinowitz formerly served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Veeder-Root.

Victor Swint was named Vice President and General Manager of Service Station Equipment (SSE) for Gilbarco. Swint will have responsibility for development and implementation strategy for dispensers and related products/services. He was previously Vice President and General Manager of Danaher's Jacobs Vehicle Systems (Jake Brake).

Steve Henry was named Vice President of Sales for Gilbarco and Veeder-Root and will have responsibility for all North American sales. Henry was previously Vice President of Sales for Veeder-Root.

John Dion was named Vice President and General Manager of Service for Gilbarco and Veeder-Root and will have responsibility for the development and integration of the combined service businesses. Dion was previously Vice President of Service for Veeder-Root.

Don Dreher was named Senior Vice President of Global Operations for Gilbarco and Veeder-Root with responsibility for worldwide operations and procurement. Dreher had served as Group Vice President for Danaher Power Solutions.

Doug Snowberger was named Chief Information Officer for Gilbarco and Veeder-Root reporting to Clawson. He will have responsibility for the worldwide information technology strategy for the combined global organization. Snowberger was previously Director of Information Technology for the Danaher Tool Group.

Joel Jackson was named Vice President of Human Resources for Gilbarco. Jackson has responsibility for associate development, labor relations, compensation/ benefits, and recruiting. He was previously Vice President of Human Resources for Danaher's Motion Components Division of the Motion Control Group.
