Gilbarco Veeder-Root opens New Sales Office for Middle East and Africa

Greensboro, NC USA - Aug. 08, 2005 - Gilbarco Veeder-Root announced today that it has opened a new sales office to serve the Middle East and Africa. Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the sales office will be led by Mark Youssef, Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa.

The new location increases customer support for Gilbarco Veeder-Root products in two of the world's important and rapidly growing markets, according to Patrick Forsythe, Sales and Channel Marketing Director for the company's European, Middle East, and Africa region. "This new office provides a central location convenient for distributors and customers in the region", says Forsythe. "We are pleased to expand the service and support we provide for our customers," he added.

Mark Youssef brings significant industry experience to his new assignment as Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa. Youssef first joined the Gilbarco sales team in 1995, starting as a District Sales Manager. Since that time, his role expanded into International Sales, representing the company in Europe for over eight years. Prior to joining Gilbarco, Mark worked with the Exxon Company where he held various management positions in sales and marketing.

Increased sales and service support are built into the new office's structure, with dedicated personnel on-site to manage and coordinate customer needs for the region. Ravi Kumar will provide assistance as Technical Support Manager, reporting to Mark. A Sales Coordinator will also join the sales office in the near future.

Customers will enjoy multiple brand access from the new office location. In addition to representing Gilbarco gasoline pumps and dispensers made in the US, Europe, and China, the office will feature products and services from across the corporations' offerings: Gilbarco® fuel dispensing equipment, fully integrated point of sale systems and back office accounting systems; Veeder-Root® automatic tank gauging and fuel management systems; Red Jacket® submersible pumps and pressurized line leak detectors; and Gasboy® commercial and retail petroleum dispensing systems, fleet management systems, and transfer pumps.
