Martin Gafinowitz named President of Gilbarco

Greensboro, NC USA - November 21, 2005 - Martin Gafinowitz is appointed president of Gilbarco, Inc. and now has global leadership responsibility for the company. Prior to today's announcement, Gafinowitz was president of Gilbarco North America and Global Strategy. In this role he had responsibility for Gilbarco's North American business in addition to his global leadership for point of sale systems and service station equipment.

Gafinowitz stated that "I look forward to the opportunity to continue Gilbarco's success in providing innovative and superior solutions to our global customer base. Gilbarco is uniquely positioned to work with our customers in all regions to help them achieve their goals of increasing revenue while reducing operating costs."

Prior to Gafinowitz joining Gilbarco, he was Vice President and General Manager of Veeder-Root. Since joining Veeder-Root in 1991, Gafinowitz has held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and general management with responsibility for Europe, Asia and North America.

Martin has a Bachelors degree from the University of Witwatersand, Johannesburg, South Africa, with a focus on Business Economics and Commercial law. He also has an Honors degree from the University in South Africa.
