Mexican Government Approves Gilbarco's Encore® 500S Dispensers For Replacement Program Purchasers Now Eligible for Up to 100% Reimbursement Incentives GREENSBORO, NC - October 9, 2006 - Gilbarco Veeder-Root today announced that the Dirección General de Normas in Mexico has approved Gilbarco Encore 500 S dispensers for the highest security certification. This means that purchasers of the dispensers may now be eligible for government incentives that can offset up to 100% of the purchase price. "The security of our dispensers has long been an important feature," said Richard Browne, Gilbarco Veeder-Root's vice president, global service station equipment marketing. "We were particularly gratified that the Encore 500 S has received this certification and the recognition it conveys of the advanced security features inherent in the product." The Encore 500S is the first Gilbarco dispenser certified by the Mexican Government as meeting all the requirements of NOM-005-SCFI-2005, which allows for equipment to be commercialized in Mexico. The new security requirements are part of a larger government effort to replace old dispensers with newer, more secure ones. The certification indicates that the Encore 500 S complies with all aspects of the new, higher certification program. As a result, purchasers of the Encore 500 S are eligible for all government fiscal incentives in the dispenser replacement program.
