New Passport Security Camera Interface Offers Improved Shrinkage Control Calloway Oil Enjoys the Benefits of Better Store Management GREENSBORO, NC - October 10, 2006 - Gilbarco Veeder-Root announced today the addition of a new security camera interface for Passport Version 5, built on the powerful PCATS NAXML standard for a richer integration experience. This new interface offers real-time journal data to Passport customers, allowing for better employee control and reduced shrinkage in their stores. Customers will also enjoy a simple installation process for this integrated system; Passport interfaces with both newer TCP/IP connectible as well as serial security cameras, for ultimate flexibility and control. And once the system is in place, every touch made at the point of sale is captured and recorded by the security camera, including no sales and voids. This capture allows for careful monitoring of each transaction, and therefore more tools for researching suspicious activity. Jason Burchfiel, IT Manager for Calloway Oil, said, "Now that this integrated system is in place with Passport and our GE StoreSafe DVR, our control over store profits has tightened even more.
