Gilbarco Veeder-Root Introduces Encore 500 Ultra-Hi with Alphanumeric Keypad
Option provides customer convenience and faster transaction time.
Chicago, IL - USA - October 12, 2003 - Truckers will now be able to pay
at the pump faster with the new Encore 500 Ultra-Hi dispenser with
alphanumeric keypad. The product was unveiled by Gilbarco Veeder-Root
in booth #4031 at this week's NACS (National Association of Convenience
Stores) Trade Show.
The optional integrated alphanumeric keypad allows customers to enter
fleet information at the dispenser, eliminating the need for an
additional island payment terminal. The keypad is integrated into the
dispenser's Customer Interface Module (CIM) that centralizes
transaction activity into a simplified, easy-to-use ATM-style interface.
"Sites that cater to truckers have issues with throughput as much as
any other petroleum retailer," said Richard Browne, director of SSE
marketing. "The Encore 500 Ultra-Hi with a builtin alphanumeric keypad
speeds transaction time, increasing overall site throughput. And the
convenience of being able to enter fleet data at the dispenser makes
transactions easier so drivers can get back on the road quickly."
The new dispenser, which comes with a standard two-year warranty, is
available in a wide range of models, allowing retailers to maintain a
consistent look across their forecourts. The Ultra-Hi comes with
optional CRIND and is available as single and dual masters, as well as
master/satellite combos. In addition, the high hose design extends the
life of the hose and offers longer reach.
