Gilbarco Veeder-Root Encore 500 Dispensers Now Offer SMART Flow Technology

Faster fueling means higher throughput and increased customer satisfaction.

Chicago, IL USA - October 12, 2003 - Encore 500 dispensers from Gilbarco Veeder-Root now offer SMART Flow technology. This technology improves flow rates at each fueling position by monitoring and reacting to flow rates in real time. The dispensers use an improved hydraulic control system that measures and regulates flow all the time at each nozzle. This benefits the retailer, especially at peak traffic times when all fueling positions are in use.

In addition to increasing throughput, retailers can lower installation and service costs by eliminating the need for flow limiters and more expensive variable speed STPs. With SMART Flow technology, retailers can achieve flow control at each fueling location with a fixed speed STP. Because flow is measured in real time for every fueling customer, it is automatically adjusted only if it exceeds the programmed limit.
