Gilbarco’s McDowell speaks about PCI compliance at the SIGMA Spring Conference
GREENSBORO, N.C. – April 22, 2009 – Scott McDowell, director of marketing, dispenser applications, at Gilbarco Veeder-Root, will speak at the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America’s (SIGMA) Spring Convention at the Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas on Friday, April 24, 2009. The expert panel discussion entitled “PCI: What Do I Really Need To Do?” outlines the actions that petroleum retailers and convenience store operators must take to comply with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. These standards are designed to protect consumer card and Personal Identification Number (PIN) data in debit transactions at the gas pump and inside the convenience store.
McDowell will present the technology options for fuel dispenser and point of sale upgrades, in keeping with Gilbarco’s expertise in this area.
