1000th site installed with Gilbarco® Passport® point of sale system on Exxon Mobil® networkGREENSBORO, NC – February 29, 2008 – A store in Washington, D.C. became the 1000th site on the Exxon Mobil network to have a Gilbarco Passport point of sale system installed on January 28.
The Passport point of sale system is certified on all major oil company networks and many generic networks. Passport Version 6 and later meets the Visa U.S.A. Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) under the Visa Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP). It minimizes the potential for security breaches and compromised card information when implemented in the retailer’s PCI-compliant environment.
“Exxon Mobil has provided important direction and feedback in the development of the Passport point of sale system over the years,” said Greg Davis, marketing manager at Gilbarco Veeder-Root. “We are proud to reach this important milestone and we look forward to supporting their future point of sale needs.”
