Gilbarco and Outcast Media expand Applause TV coverage for nationwide interactive merchandising at the pump

Applause TV coverage expanded for nationwide coverage

Greensboro, N.C. – May 13, 2011 – Gilbarco Veeder-Root and digital media partner Outcast Media, Inc. announced today the nationwide expansion of Applause TV with Outcast, the industry’s leading interactive digital media system integrated into the dispenser that delivers full motion video and on-demand couponing.

The companies launched the initial program in the top-20 markets in October 2010, and with a significant demand from retailers and advertisers to accelerate distribution, the program is now available nationwide.

Applause TV allows retailers to entertain and inform their customers, while providing them with reasons to come inside the store for higher margin purchases. The system delivers third party national advertising, retailer advertising, news and entertainment content on the large color screens embedded within the gas pump, along with consumer interaction and on-demand coupons at the pump. Fully-managed programming includes content from CBS, ABC, Comedy Central, Warner Bros. Pictures and over 20 other premier content providers, as well as community-oriented content, including Amber Alerts.
