The Next Frontier of Frictionless Retail

The next frontier for the frictionless retail revolution is – travel centers.

Convenience stores are embracing the buzz when it comes to the “frictionless” shopping experience, but travel centers and truck stops are also prime environments for tools like self-checkout systems.

For travel centers, some shoppers are in a hurry, while others are taking their time. That mix of customers makes frictionless technology ideal for travel centers, according to Gilbarco Veeder-Root Retail Solutions Expert, Karen Dyer.

“Checking out is the last thing customers remember about your store. If they have a bad experience at the end, that is what they’ll remember,” Karen said in this article from The Stopwatch.

This Saturday at NATSO Connect 2020, Karen will be hosting a Learning Lab titled, “Frictionless Payments: Why, How and What Your Truckstop Should be Doing.” Attendees will get a break down of the benefits of frictionless strategies and how to implement them.

If you’re attending NATSO Connect 2020, make sure to check out Karen’s Learning Lab Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, 3:45p.m.-4:30p.m.
