A breakaway has to respond when it matters without interfering with everyday fueling. The C86NT combines a small, lightweight profile with minimal flow restriction, helping fuel move efficiently during normal operation.

During a drive-off, the breakaway is designed to separate at a maximum force of 350 pounds. Dual internal poppets then close the fuel path on both sides, helping contain fuel in the primary and whip hoses while reducing the potential for cleanup, equipment damage, and environmental impact.

Straightforward Post-Drive-Off Response

The C86NT is a single-use breakaway built around a clear response following separation. Instead of field reconnection, the separated unit is replaced before the fueling position returns to operation. This straightforward approach helps site teams maintain a consistent drive-off response and restore the fueling position with a new breakaway.

Controlled Drive-Off Protection

The single-use C86NT is designed with a maximum separation force of 350 pounds. If separation occurs, internal dual poppets close both sides of the breakaway to help contain fuel within the hoses.

Lightweight, Durable Construction

A compact aluminum body provides a strong foundation without adding unnecessary bulk. The assembly includes a durable nylon protective cover and nitrile and fluorocarbon seals.

Flexible Hose Compatibility

The 3/4-inch C86NT installs between the whip hose and primary hose and mates with standard 3/4-inch and 5/8-inch hoses. Verify fuel, hose, and dispenser compatibility before installation.

Common Fuel Applications

The C86NT is UL/ULC listed for gasoline, diesel, and ethanol blends containing up to 10% ethanol. It meets NFPA 30A codes, provides minimal flow restriction, and includes a 12-month warranty.

When the C86NT separates, protection happens at both ends. Its internal dual-poppet design closes the fuel path toward the dispenser and toward the nozzle, helping contain the fuel already present within each hose.

An aluminum body provides a strong internal foundation, while nitrile and fluorocarbon seals support reliable performance with approved fuels. A durable nylon cover adds an exterior layer of protection for the assembly and nearby vehicle surfaces.
