The Ergo Series features the highest flow rate and lowest pressure drop of any gas pump nozzle ever designed – and we can prove it. Here’s how the experiment featured in the video was conducted.
HEAD-TO-HEAD FLOW RATE EXPERIMENT
Hypothesis: The Ergo nozzle will fill-up a gas tank 6% faster than the competitor’s nozzle.
Process: We used the same Encore 700 S fuel dispenser at the same gas station near our global headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina.
We parked the two cars with empty tanks at each fueling position. We chose the winner based on which dispenser pumped 13 gallons the fastest. Both nozzles began fueling at the same time to maintain a consistent pressure level.
Results: The Ergo 75 averaged 8.93 gallons per minute, while the competitor nozzle averaged 8.41 gallons per minute. The Ergo 75 nozzle dispensed 13 gallons of gasoline eight seconds faster than the competitor’s nozzle.
Conclusion: When operating under similar conditions, the Ergo’s flow rate is faster than the competing nozzle.
BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE
We took the experiment a step further and tested every fueling position at the same gas station at the same time.
Process: Half of the fueling positions featured Ergo nozzles, the other half were equipped with the same model of the competing nozzle.
Again, all nozzles began fueling at the same time to maintain a consistent pressure level.
Results: Even with all fueling positions flowing simultaneously, all Ergo 75 fueling positions maintained a higher flow rate.
