Gilbarco Veeder-Root Creates Corporate University
The company, worldwide leader in fuel pumps technology with integrated POS solutions, progresses on its program of employee development and valorization, by launching a corporate university that aims to capacitate and specialize the professionals’ capabilities of their workforce.
The corporate university is an educational institution, inside the own organization, which has the main purpose of offering the employees courses on different subjects, tailored and aligned with the company’s strategies and politics. The result is the improvement of the workforce in a more objectively and faster way.
Gilbarco Veeder-Root has gathered the disciplines in areas called “Campus”, in order to facilitate the courses choosing and offer a wider variety of possible themes. The Management and Skills Campus addresses themes related to career and professional development; the Marketing and Products Campus offers a complete view on all Gilbarco Veeder-Root products; the DBS Campus provides courses on how to use the company’s business tools; on the Commercial Campus, the classes are about sales, the global scenario on service stations and correlated subjects; the Functions Campus is about purchase and financial procedures, and finally, on the Services Campus, the courses dwell on equipment’s installation and maintenance.
In 2014, thirty nine courses are planned to happen, divided between the six campuses. Larissa Cerqueira, Latin America HR Manager, points out the positive results of the initiative: “The interest of participation from the employees has exceeded our expectations, and we are already feeling a better organizational climate and a better efficiency in some areas. The main goal of the Corporate University is to develop the company as a whole, focusing on the apprenticeship and employees’ growth”.
